Overview

St. Luke's is looking for a Full Time (1.0 FTE) Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our Central Sterile Processing in Nampa!

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization. Responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures.

Required Criteria

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: 0 years

  • Licenses/Certifications: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through IAHCSMM or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech) through CBSPD.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepares case carts for current and next day schedule.

  • Decontaminates, preps, packages and sterilizes clinical/surgical supplies for patient care areas, including linens.

  • Ensures instruments and supplies are available as needed for patient care.

  • Performs rounds to retrieve instruments, equipment and supplies for reprocessing.

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment.

  • Transports carts to and from designated departments/areas.

  • Maintains instrument and inventory in all areas.

You will stay at the forefront of the latest pharmacy technology and will work in a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our patients. Join a department that is highly respected and critical to the hospital's clinical performance. The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison will support pharmacy services in a specialty practice area. This position will primarily be dedicated to Cystic Fibrosis. They will provide integrated support to patients and members of the care team in a 'hands-on" approach to total quality patient care, and work closely with patients to deliver a full continuum of medication adherence, fulfillment and financial support by utilizing our various tools and applications. Always preserving patient choice and preference, they will encourage providers and patients of specialty clinics to utilize SLHS Outpatient pharmacy to fully benefit from its superior and increasing array of patient care services. As the Specialty Pharmacy Liaison will be supporting pharmacists and care teams located in various physical locations, strong communication skills with the clinic team (doctors, pharmacists, nurses, staff, etc.) will be critical to their success. Primarily, this position will support the needs of the clinical pharmacist(s) dedicated to the Cystic Fibrosis team, maintaining the level of concierge service associated with the Specialty Pharmacy.
