SHIFT: ALL SHIFT

Required Qualifications

CRT or RRT. ACLS, BLS, PALS.

Treatment, ALL solo work. Must be able to work independently. Neonatal experience preferred.

Must be comfortable with High Risk L & D and placing infants and adults on vents. Graduate of AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy Program or equivalent, approved by NBRC with AS degree.HOUSING:Facility will provide shared housing. We do not allow spouses/significant others, pets or children to accompany or stay with the traveler while on assignment as housing is extremely limited and again, shared units.

COMPLIANCE: Immunization requirements from our Nurse Administrator: o Hepatitis A o Hepatitis B o Varicella o Measles o Mumps o Rubella o T-Dap Polio Or, Titers and/or the historical shot records for the candidate (Ex. Hep B is done usually from ages 1-4) If the candidate is not able to provide the shots listed above, they will not be accepted for the position. Lastly, here other documents we would like to have: Background Check Results o Competency (Testing) Checklist o OIG Report o SAM Report o OHSA Report o OFAC Report o Fit Test or Physical o Emergency Contact Information o References (if available) o Drug Screen

Facility Location

Bethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska. Annual events in Bethel include a Dogsled Race, a Fair in August and a Traditional Dance Festival in the Spring.

The Ketchikan Pioneer Home is recruiting for a nonpermanent, on-call Certified Nurse Aide I. The Ketchikan Pioneer Home is recruiting for a nonpermanent, on-call, Certified Nurse Aide I. The incumbent should be available to work sometimes on short notice and cover all shifts when and where needed. The incumbent will work with elderly residents that not only experience physical limitations, but also have varying rates of confusion/dementia. The Certified Nurse Aide I will provide interventions with confused residents when warranted. The incumbent performs routine aide duties such as monitoring proper hydration and body functions including taking blood pressure, pulse and temperature, and taking and recording height and weight. The Certified Nurse Aide I will administer medications under the direction of a licensed nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide I will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) by encouraging residents to be self-reliant, assisting residents to and from dining room, and providing reminders and cueing to meals, etc. This position will be responsible for replenishing resident supplies on a weekly basis. The Certified Nurse Aide I is responsible for recognizing and reporting any significant changes in physical, mental and emotional well-being, and any unusual signs and symptoms of common diseases and conditions. The incumbent maintains a clean and orderly environment, assists residents to social and recreational activities, promotes good mental health of residents, and participates in in-services and training sessions. The incumbent performs other duties as assigned. Desired strengths that are essential to this position: * Able to work as a team member and the ability to get along with peers, family members and residents in the facility. * Able to function independently and handle crisis situations in a calm and effective manner. * Excellent work habits such as punctuality, attendance and observation of safety regulations. * Experience working with geriatric patients who have Alzheimer's and related dementia. * Able to lift up to 50 lbs. * Able to work varied shifts, and some weekends and holidays.
