Ethicon Endo Surgery Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Certified Quality Inspector- 3rd shift to be located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologiesincluding sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devicesthat are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. Responsibilities

  • Performs various directed activities related to the EES-Albuquerque operations departments.

  • Serves as a resource for Quality.

  • Adhere to GMP, ISO and other applicable regulatory requirements, as well as all documented policies, specifications and procedures as required.

  • Assist in the processing of batches placed on hold.

  • Perform retain sample verification and batch certification.

  • Perform quality inspections for manufacturing.

  • Support business initiatives, e.g., Lean.

  • Champion on-line quality decisions.

  • Generate rework routers and nonconformance reports as needed.

  • Take lead and/or assist in trouble shooting process problems.

  • Transfer batches to next department in process.

  • Calculate and accurately report batch scrap.

  • Oversee housekeeping through participation and auditing.

  • Support Business Unit and/or Production Line(s) through attendance and active participation in scheduled and/or impromptu meetings.

  • Environmental Participate in implementation of the EMS management system including continual improvement; pollution prevention; objectives and targets; and regulatory compliance.

  • Implement and follow all applicable EMS procedures. Adhere to the site's EHS Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Associates Degree, college experience, or trade school preferred.

  • Previous manufacturing experience required.

  • Lean/Six Sigma/TWI experience preferred.

  • Prior quality experience preferred.

  • Must have basic writing and communication skills.

  • Leadership (personnel or project) and training skills highly preferred.

  • Ability to act as a quality resource on quality issues.

  • Ability to record and maintain accurate quality records.

  • Champion process changes and improvements.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to perform conflict resolution.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, e.g., Word, Excel.

  • AQR and/or E1 experience preferred.

  • RF unit experience preferred.

  • Safe operation of pallet jack preferred.

  • Lifting of boxes and/or materials up to 25 lbs.

  • This position may require occasional domestic travel (up to 5%).

  • Standard hours are 11:00pm to 6:00am Monday- Friday, but requires some flexibility for weekends and holidays.

VIEW JOBS 1/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-10T00:00 * Under direction of the QC Safety Specialist, plan, organize, and provide QA/QC safety inspections for all assigned utilities/facilities/areas for AC-SFO and OST. Interact professionally with contractors, vendors, and corporate staff members while maintaining effective working relationships with the Alutiiq management team to meet the DOE/NNSA mission objectives. * Keep QA/QC Safety Specialist and Safety Manager appraised of unique situations and problems encountered. * Identify and work compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of this contract. * Implement and help maintain the QA/QC plans that are tailored to the contract and encompass all facets of the functional operation of the contract. * Inspect work for discrepancies in accordance with the QA/QC plan and contract requirements. * Inspect areas for hazardous conditions. * Conduct inspections of contract functions to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement. * Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support Safety findings; to include completing inspection checklist, issuing, and closing of work orders and inputting into SEESOR as appropriate. * Focus on maintaining a quality compliant and safe workplace. * Help maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and update as required to provide for accurate reports and QC/Safety status. * Provide assistance as required or directed to track, monitor, and provide assistance with the re-aligning/re-calibrating of the Motorola XTS-5000 Land Mobile Radios. * Assist in developing plans and procedures for the QA/QC programs. * Assist in reviewing site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures, guides, and regulations * Assist in preparing incident reports and document analysis, cause/effect and actions taken (photos as required). * Assist in monitoring the performance of subcontractors with respect to QA/QC and safety. * Assist in the preparation and presentation of the Monthly Accomplishment Report for submission to * Respond to emergency site maintenance as required or requested. Required Skills * Commitment to quality and safety as a value. * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. * Excellent organizational skills. * Ability to organize multiple abilities and tasks. * Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision. * High school graduate or "equivalent". * Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record (must provide current driving record). * Subject to pre-employment and random background check and random drug testing program. Required Experience * Candidate must possess an active Secret (DoD) or "L" (DoE) security clearance. * Candidate must be a United States Citizen. * Two to four year degree in associated fields desired. * Graduate of Technical, Vocational School, or Formal Apprenticeship Program. * Experience in DOE or Federal Environment. * Working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including but not limited to: Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, and Access or equivalent software programs. * Familiarity with CMMS database program, capabilities and reports * Experience in Maintenance Management at the task level. * Experience as a QC Inspector. * Experience as a Safety Inspector. * Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction and utility systems. * Knowledge of DOE quality assurance and quality control documents, OSHA and other safety directives and guidance.
