Ethicon Endo Surgery Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Certified Quality Inspector- 3rd shift to be located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologiesincluding sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devicesthat are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The Ethicon Surgical Care business combines products and services of two market-leading legacy companies, both with long histories of medical innovation. Performs various directed activities related to the EES-Albuquerque operations departments.
Serves as a resource for Quality.
Adhere to GMP, ISO and other applicable regulatory requirements, as well as all documented policies, specifications and procedures as required.
Assist in the processing of batches placed on hold.
Perform retain sample verification and batch certification.
Perform quality inspections for manufacturing.
Support business initiatives, e.g., Lean.
Champion on-line quality decisions.
Generate rework routers and nonconformance reports as needed.
Take lead and/or assist in trouble shooting process problems.
Transfer batches to next department in process.
Calculate and accurately report batch scrap.
Oversee housekeeping through participation and auditing.
Support Business Unit and/or Production Line(s) through attendance and active participation in scheduled and/or impromptu meetings.
Environmental Participate in implementation of the EMS management system including continual improvement; pollution prevention; objectives and targets; and regulatory compliance.
Implement and follow all applicable EMS procedures. Adhere to the site's EHS Code of Conduct.
High school education or equivalent required.
Associates Degree, college experience, or trade school preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience required.
Lean/Six Sigma/TWI experience preferred.
Prior quality experience preferred.
Must have basic writing and communication skills.
Leadership (personnel or project) and training skills highly preferred.
Ability to act as a quality resource on quality issues.
Ability to record and maintain accurate quality records.
Champion process changes and improvements.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to perform conflict resolution.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, e.g., Word, Excel.
AQR and/or E1 experience preferred.
RF unit experience preferred.
Safe operation of pallet jack preferred.
Lifting of boxes and/or materials up to 25 lbs.
This position may require occasional domestic travel (up to 5%).
Standard hours are 11:00pm to 6:00am Monday- Friday, but requires some flexibility for weekends and holidays.
