Position Summary:

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit. Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates.

  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.

  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.

  • Communicate verbally with customers and store personnel

  • Receive prescriptions from customers, assure validity

  • Dispense filled prescriptions accurately to customers

  • Input information into computer for processing

  • Contact doctors' offices to request refill authorization

  • Input prescription and customer information into the computer system accurately.

  • Bag filled prescriptions

  • Order drugs and prescription supplies, verify orders and stock to correct locations

  • Facilitate charge purchases for customers

  • Practice safe drug handling procedures within the legal guidelines and regulations

  • Maintain accurate records for pharmacy

  • Clean and maintain sanitation and appearance in pharmacy

  • Rotate product, monitor code dates, and remove out of code product.

  • Count, pour and retrieve legend drugs for prescription filling

  • Prepare prescriptions for mailing

  • Return prescription drugs to stock at appropriate intervals

  • Process and bill third party insurance companies; Contact insurance companies on behalf of customers when necessary.

  • Complete required forms and reports properly

  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.

  • Report all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must pass drug screen and criminal background check

  • Ability to handle stressful situations

  • Proficient keyboard skills

  • Effective communication skills and phone etiquette

  • Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction


  • Confidentiality

  • Possess and maintain national pharmacy technician certification

The Pharmacy consultant will be responsible for helping USI Health and Welfare consultants lower the cost of pharmacy benefits by aligning PBM contracts with the best interests of USI clients and their employees. The USI goal is to create transparency within the PBM industry and maximize cost efficiencies. This position is a technical resource both internally within the USI organization and client facing. Responsibilities: * Attend and participate in prospecting activities with production consultants. * Articulate the USI pharmacy value proposition and solutions within the sales process, from discovery meetings, capabilities presentations and conceptual/finalist meetings. * Act as a resource for Sales Executives to develop strategic plans and solutions for prospects and clients. * Work closely with Service Team Members to ensure strategic objectives of prospects/client are clearly articulated and that all prospect deliverables deliver proactive solutions in line with strategic objectives. * Lead client PBM RFP process including marketing services, assistance with articulating and educating both team members and clients about prescription drug benefits. * Conduct contract audits and make observations and recommendations * Be subject matter expert on all USI Omni Solutions regarding pharmacy * Conduct formulary and specialty drug review for select clients and make observations and recommendations * Assist with negotiations with Carriers and PBM's to negotiate preferred deals. * Conduct Internal Training sessions to better educate all USI employees on all components of * Pharmacy. * Monitor new drug approvals and keep the USI team educated * Oversee patient assistance programs for specialty medications and recommend partners and approaches * Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships. * Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. * LI-CG1 Qualifications: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. * Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate deliverables. * Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines * Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
