Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital for our Inpatient Pharmacy!

Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: Rotating (8.5hr shift)
Hours: Days, Evening, Nights (Occasional)
Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
Holiday Rotation
Required qualifications:
Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021
Preferred qualifications:
1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
Prior hospital experience preferred
Job responsibilities:
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Job Summary
