The Certified Pharmacy Technician is a well-trained and highly motivated individual who supports the pharmacist in preparation, filling, and delivery of medications and other technicial tasks associated with dispensing. All work MUST be checked by a pharmacist prior to release to the floors or nursing units. The tech also is responsible for various clerical assignments such as, charging, crediting, and processing admits/discharges/transfers/prepackaging, filling automated dispensing machines and proper handling of narcotics.# Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital#s strategic goals.# Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives.

Clarifies illegible orders with the Pharmacists

.# s pharmacist of potential drug interactions, duplications or allergy concerns.# Initials and saves physician#s orders for Pharmacists to confirm. Accurately fills and labels all medications.# Has a pharmacist check all work prior to delivery.# Leaves on time for scheduled rounds.# Picks up discontinued or changed medications as appropriate. #Pulls meds from pharmacy and floors and credits when patient is discharged. #Delivers IV solutions and refrigerates as necessary.# #Ensures that patient#s medications are transferred to the correct location.# #Accurately fills automated dispensing machines to ensure proper par levels are met.# ##Accurately prepackages and follows established procedures.

####Makes IV rounds and completes IV worksheets

.# #Returns IV solution to pharmacy as appropriate.# ##Makes changes on IV scheduling as appropriate. #Prints batch labels as appropriate.# ##Consistently demonstrates good aseptic technique in the preparation of intravenous and other sterile products.# #Demonstrates accuracy in compounding IV solutions and other sterile products.# #Reviews all completed products with pharmacists prior to dispensing.# #Completes IV batches in a timely fashion.# #Reviews and maintains a working knowledge of USP Chapter #797#. Verifies that ALL patient information is on charge sheets.

####Reloads all surgical automated dispensing machines immediately and prepares paperwork for missing charges

.# #Correctly places all refrigerated medications in the refrigerator immediately upon delivery.# #Verifies essential boxes are sealed on rounds to units. #Replaces, charges, checks expiration dates of essential box medicines.# #Checks, and DOCUMENTS completion, on a monthly basis expiration dates on all stock areas assigned.

####Processes all admits

, discharges and transfers on a timely basis to keep designated areas updated.# #Charges and credits medications in computer when necessary.# #Returns all credited drugs to stock by end of shift.# #Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory and supplies are below par levels.# #Maintains accountability of all items leaving the pharmacy including charging the patient or unit when applicable.# #Assists in performing biannual inventory.# #Assists in processing wholesaler order and stock shelves.# ##Assists the coordinators and director with special assignments as needed.# #Keep up with all out of stock medications in the automated dispensing machines on all units.# #Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.


Metric and apothecary systems of weight and volume measurement, brand and generic names of top 200 drugs, different dosage forms, Pharmaceutical abbreviations, unit dose theory and practice.# #Required:# High School Graduate or equivalent required.

VIEW JOBS 4/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-11T00:00 The radiologic technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes under direction of a radiologist or physician. Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested.# Explains procedures to patients in order to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.# Moves imaging equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols. Practices radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to minimize radiation to self, patient and staff. #Operates mobile equipment in operating room, emergency room, or at patient#s bedside. Reviews and evaluates images to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Performs routine assessments to ensure equipment is well maintained, operating in a safe work environment. Provides appropriate clinical information about the patient to the radiologist. #Ensures that studies are being sent upon completion from modalities to the archive and to reading stations. ##Updates the Imaging Supervisor of any abnormal occurrences with patient#s procedures, scheduling, preparation, transport, transfer onto exam table and submits occurrences in Quantros when required. Utilizes patient transfer devices for patient transfer form bed to stretcher, stretcher to exam table, etc. for patient and staff safety. Has working knowledge of tubing, IV#s, catheters in order appropriately mange patient and procedure in a safe manner.# Works with SMH customers to provide access to images. Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of all radiology systems including those in the OR (C-arms and Cysto). Cooperatively educates and trains new staff technologists and/or student technologists. #Effectively utilizes multiple computer-based technologies for order entry, document storage, charge entry, image storage, etc. #Produces high quality radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures adhering to established procedure protocols and/or physician instructions. #Selects proper technical factors on individual patient basis. Administers oral, IV and enteric contrast material and assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures. #Provides general nursing care to patients so that basic medical and comfort needs are satisfied. #Properly screens patients for appropriate clinical information, completes pre-procedural questionnaire (contrast/history), consents and post-procedural education (metformin instructions or discharge instructions). Familiar with and properly utilizes protocols for National Patient Safety Goals and upholds those goals. (Patient identification, correct procedure/correct patient, site marking, timeout, etc.). Provides information to patient # family regarding radiologic procedures. Completes examination and documentation specific to that exam in a timely manner (Critiques images, marks exam as reviewed, performs added 3D or other processing).# Maintains inventory of supplies and stocks area with appropriate supplies.# Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:# Required: #Demonstrates skills sufficient to successfully function within the position as a radiologic technologist and can utilize multiple computer-based software applications including but not limited to McKesson PACS, Paragon Radiology Information System, Quantros, Paragon Orders Management and McKesson Materials Management. #Hospital based clinical experience or training. #Graduate of accredited school and licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or is registry eligible.
