Responsibilities

This position operates under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist to distribute inventory, fill unit does carts, prepare IV admixture solutions, process patient drug charges and credits, review inventory stocks for outdated medication, collect orders from the floors, deliver medications to patient care areas, process telephone requests from the nursing units, charge and refill floor stock medications and many other general pharmacy duties not requiring the interpretation of a registered Pharmacist.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent; 1-2 years college; Oklahoma State permit required.

• Oklahoma State permit required.

• Accuracy and speed are essential.

• Accuracy of documentation is required for various pharmacy PI activities.

• Must meet state requirements for training and continuing education.

• Must have minor typing and calculator skills as well as some computer skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• National certification as Registered Pharmacy Technician. preferred

• Previous experience with IV admixtures preferred.
