Valley Health Surgery and Rehab Hospital

The Valley Health System (VHS) is pleased to announce that we are currently conducting due diligence in anticipation of acquiring the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital of Nevada (formerly Mountains Edge Hospital) in Las Vegas. Upon successful completion of the transaction, which is projected to close in early August, VHS will assume operational responsibility of the hospital.

VHS plans to expand service lines including the addition of inpatient rehabilitation to its surgical services. Adding this location in to the Valley Health System network of hospitals and healthcare services further bolsters our ability to meet the growing demands of the residents and visitors we are privileged to serve in the greater Las Vegas region.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing technical responsibilities relative to assisting operating surgeons with the instrumentation of surgical intervention.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:

High School Graduate or equivalent and a graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School.

Experience:

None required, but preferred

License/Certification:

ORT certification is required. Participation in AORT is encouraged. Current BCLS Certification is required.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Job Description: Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Qualifications Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience: One (1) year experienced preferred. Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.) License/Certification: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
