Join our high-profile team, and build on our international reputation for excellence in pediatric surgery as you provide crucial support to physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures. Our surgeons are known for treating children whose surgical issues were considered too complex by other hospitals such as genitourinary reconstruction, heart surgery, neurosurgery, spine and other orthopedic surgeries, vascular malformation procedures, cancer surgery, organ transplantation, liver surgery, ENT (ear, nose and throat) procedures, and pediatric trauma care.

Certified Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position, working Monday

  • Friday from 6:45am-3:15pm, including alternating weekends and holidays, at our NYP/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

  • Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

  • Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA)

  • Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as an O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting

  • High school diploma or GED

Clinical Nurse - Operating Room Full-Time 37.5 hours per week Located on the West Side of Manhattan, HSS is developing a brand new comprehensive Center that offers physician office visits for medical diagnosis and pre- and post-operative care; radiology services, including digital x-ray and MRI; an ambulatory surgical center (ASC), and PT / Sports Performance. This will be the first one-stop-shop facility of its kind at HSS that contains all of these musculoskeletal services in a single, convenient, location. As an integral member of our Magnet Nursing team, the successful RN candidate will be focused on - patient advocacy and delivering the highest quality of care to our patients! Working in an evidence-based nursing environment that commands excellence every day, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to our patients in an operating room setting. Your scope of duties will include OR clinical competence, which may include circulating and/or scrubbing, incorporating critical thinking skills relating to and educating patients and their family members both in the O.R. and holding areas. Your capacity to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and promote the highest standards of care and safety is critical to the mission of Nursing in HSS.
