Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

FLSA Status: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Occasional Weekends

Wage Rate: Starting at $30 per hour

Job Summary:

Sedgebrook is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Radford Green. As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their quality of life through occupational therapy interventions. Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs.

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patients' goals.

  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement occupational therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to improve patients' functional abilities, mobility, and independence.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs to facilitate continued progress.

  • Professional Development: Stay current with advances in occupational therapy and participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

  • CPR certification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Compassion and empathy for patients of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
