Sedgebrook is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Radford Green. Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs.
Treatment Planning: Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patients' goals.
Therapeutic Interventions: Implement occupational therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to improve patients' functional abilities, mobility, and independence.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs to facilitate continued progress.
Professional Development: Stay current with advances in occupational therapy and participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion and empathy for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
