Certified Occupational Therapist

Requirements / Qualifications

We are looking for spectacular, fun, dynamic, and experienced school-based Occupational Therapist. This position is to provide school based services at SOAR Charter Academy servicing students in grades Kindergarten through 8th.

Therapist must be able to : ? Identify and assess student skills, including sensory processing, visual perceptual, fine/visual motor, motor planning, and postural control skills. ? Develop treatment plan and measurable, school-based goals. ? Provide school-based treatment; direct, or group ? Coordinate treatment plan with certified occupational therapy assistant; Implement with teachers, instructional aides, and/or IEP team members. ? Implement uses of adaptive equipment and/classroom adaptations to assist student as appropriate. ? Provide training for teachers and instructional aides as needed. ? Attend IEP meetings; interpret evaluation, treatment, and progress results to parents and other IEP team members. ? Document treatments, consultations, and assessment results; write annual progress, initial or triennial reports. ? Perform related duties as assigned.

Credential Requirements: OTR/L ? Valid License issued by CA Board of Occupational Therapy. ? Valid Certificate from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. ? Valid California driver's license. ? Required Documents (resume, references (how many?), transcripts, etc.): Resume, 2 references
