Sierra Health Care Center is currently seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to care for our residents and patients at our skilled nursing facility in Truth or Consequences.The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and rehabilitation experience, primarily with the geriatric population. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with the patients to create trusting relationships
  • Assisting patients with the therapy plan of care created by an Occupational Therapist
  • Helping patients develop, recover, and improve ADLs
  • Providing rehabilitation for patients suffering from various diagnoses affecting ADLs

Requirements

Qualifications &

Requirements:

  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an institution accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • State of New Mexico Licensure
  • One year of experience required
  • Reliable, insured transportation & a valid driver's license
