Certified Nursing Assistant:

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Nursing Assistant:

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct patient care experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

A multidisciplinary approach is utilized to provide patient and family centered care to assist patients in return to their optimum level of function. Patient care is managed by an Intensivist who will coordinate care between specialists. Patients and families are involved in the care planning and the transfer process. This is done to ensure smooth transition of the patient into another level of care designed to assist the patient in progressing towards an optimal level of health. Patients are admitted into the SICU utilizing a closed admission structure.
