Summary of Job Duties:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direct supervision of licensed nurses or medical providers to administer direct patient care and assist with the flow of patients in the women's clinic. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to obtaining patient history, vitals and other screening procedures to prepare patients for exams and procedures, assisting medical providers, obtaining specimens/performing point of care laboratory tests, and other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least six months of experience providing personal care to patients in a facility, home, private services organization, or working in a direct customer service role


  • The formal education equivalent of a diploma from an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program

Required Certification:

  • Must be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant or eligible to become certified within six months of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant training

  • Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant

  • At least one year of experience in women's health

  • Outpatient clinic experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to obtain vital signs (manual blood pressure) and perform other diagnostic screening

  • Ability to obtain patient history

  • Ability to communicate with a diverse patient population

  • Ability to perform point of care laboratory tests
