Responsibilities

We look for team members who are patient focused and excited to grow in an environment they can thrive in. In this role, you'll be assisting patients with their daily activities in a timely and effective manner that enhances their stay and overall progression.

Within our facility, you may work with patients who have:

  • Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries

  • Multi-system organ failure

  • Chronic/Acute respiratory failure

  • Non-healing wounds and infectious diseases

  • Ventilators and require weaning

While the true depth of this position's responsibilities extend beyond a basic job description, we can assure you that working in an acute care environment will provide you with ample opportunity to grow your skill set provide your patients with high quality care.

Qualifications

In order to work at our facility, our Certified Nursing Assistants need:

  • To hold a current certification as a CNA in the state where the facility is located

  • To have and maintain a current CPR certification

  • While it isn't required, we prefer that you have prior experience in LTACH/Rehab/Med-Surg environments

VIEW JOBS 1/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-08T00:00 Summary: The Nuc Med Technologist I performs nuclear medicine therapeutic and diagnostic procedures providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Responsibilities: * Maintains and operates cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images. * Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical factors accurately. * Orders, prepares, administers, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. * Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. * Observes procedure protocols and assesses procedure quality via analysis of study images. * Ensures that ancillary staff, family members, and co-workers observe radiation safety procedures, performing education and compliance monitoring as needed. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted. * Determines the need for equipment maintenance and reports malfunctions in a timely manner. Establishes an orderly and clean working environment to achieve a professional appearance and promote a safe environment of care. Charges examinations, supplies, and completes required documentation in a timely and quality manner. * Provides quality population specific patient care. Assesses patient and family need for education and assistance specific to Imaging procedure and coordinates service. * Performs other duties as assigned. * May be required to be "on-call." Qualifications Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) course completion card from the American Heart Association is required prior to hire or job transfer date. * American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) -or- Certification with the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) is required upon hire or job transfer date. * Mdcl Radiologic Technologist Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification (MRT), General (G) category is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date. Education: * Degree in Nuclear Medicine technology is preferred. * Graduation from an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology or one (1) year work experience as a Radiologic Technologist (if no formal Nuclear Medicine program experience) is required.
