  • As a CNA at The Waters, you arrive for each shift determined to treat the residents with respect and kindness.

  • You do everything you can to help our residents THRIVE as you provide the individualized physical, psychological and social support they need.

  • Every resident requires individual care based on their needs.

  • On a daily basis, your responsibilities include keeping accurate records, monitor and administer medications, as well as assist with meal preparation and keep track of any dietary needs.

  • You can always plan on some light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry and general home upkeep. You ensure that common areas are clean and comfortable at all times.

  • You treat those you care for the same way you would want your own family members treated.

School-Based Therapeutic Assistant Program Therapist (The FAIR School) (.8 - 1.0 FTE) Position Summary: This position will provide school based mental health services to The FAIR School, a Minneapolis Public 9-12 school in downtown Minneapolis. Position provides diagnostic assessments and therapy services to eligible students and their families. Also provides consultation/teaming with school psychologists, school social workers, teachers and multiple mental health providers. This position provides case consultation, training on mental health issues and assistance to school personnel for clients in the Therapeutic Assistance Program. Candidates will remain knowledgeable and current on community resources available both within the school districts and general community in which the clients reside. Weekly meetings and consultation occurs at our Oakdale location. The position is full time with the option of a .8 schedule, full time during the school year and part time hours (approximately 12 a week) in the summer. Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate Degree in social work, family therapy, or psychology with emphasis on clinical practice. MN state license and eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities required e.g., LP, LICSW, LMFT or license eligible within 6 months may be considered. Extensive knowledge and experience in working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development and community resources and school systems required. Experience with students and families of color, understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families of color, and knowledge of critical race theory and it's therapeutic application preferred. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients. An active driver's license and vehicle insurance per Canvas Health policy is required. Use of a cell phone is required for this position.
