The CNA/PCT performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) in a complementary and assistive role. He/she assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance to the CNA's training, competence and skills, hospital policies and procedures and the State Board of Nursing rules for delegated nursing tasks to unlicensed personnel. Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked and safe patient care environment.

Job requirements:

  • 1 year(s) of experience in previous CNA experience in a healthcare setting, preferred

  • CNA certification with the State of Florida

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required for Behavioral Health.

  • Lifting 100 Lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 Lbs

Job Functions As Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. This position serves as a liaison between the Director of Nursing and the nursing staff. Actively participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives including staff development functions/responsibilities and educational programming. Collaborate with various department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of an accurate and effective documentation system. Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand. Assure effective interaction with resident and families. Attend and participate in department/facility meeting, as required. Assist surveyors and inspectors to facilitate regulatory compliance, as per the direction of the director of Clinical Services. Completion of preceptor training is required.
