Sierra Health Care a skilled nursing facility in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico currently has an opening for a qualified full-time Certified Nursing Assistant. Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bowl and bladder functions, ear and eye care, transfer and mobility, observation for safety and comfort
Provide a caring and nurturing environment in which each resident feels comfortable, safe and important
Assist resident as directed for proper welcome and check- in upon admission
Assist resident as directed for proper discharge
Completes and records temperature, pulse and respirations, weigh and measure residents, perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures
Observes and reports changes in skin condition

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications:

Current certification as Certified Nurse Assistant
Experience working in a skilled nursing or sub-acute setting
Organized
Self-Motivated
Ability to focus on the task at hand
Enthusiastic and enjoys engaging with residents
Professional appearance

VIEW JOBS Sierra Health Care Center is currently seeking an organized and knowledgeable Director of Dietary Services to effectively manage our dietary staff and the overall operations of the department. The Dietary Director will ensure that quality nutritional services are provided daily and that the Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to state and federal regulatory guidelines. Duties & Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Develop and maintain a file of approved standard recipes</li> <li>Inspect food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control</li> <li>Assist in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician as well as develop individual diet plans for residents as needed</li> <li>Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services </li> <li>Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the food services portion of the resident’s discharge plan</li> <li>Maintain records of the resident’s food preferences and prepare menus accordingly</li> <li>Ensure that charted food services progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to them</li> <li>Develop and implement an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Services Department </li> <li>Make daily rounds to confirm that food services personnel are performing required duties and to make certain that appropriate food services procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility</li> <li>Monitor absenteeism to ensure that an adequate number of food services service personnel are on duty at all times and make recommendations to Administrator to ensure that the dietary department is appropriately staffed </li> <li>Ensure that food services personnel are trained to use labels and MSDSs to recognize hazards and to follow appropriate protective measures</li> <li>Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility</li> </ul><ul> <li>Monitor dietary personnel to assure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies</li> <li>Monitor to confirm that food services service work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner </li> </ul><ul><li>Maintain an excellent working relationship with other department supervisors and coordinate the dietary program to assure that residents have nutritious and delicious meals</li></ul>RequirementsQualifications & Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Proven and preferably prior supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility </li> <li>Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook</li> <li>Prior experience and training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy</li> <li>CDM Certification strongly preferred</li> <li>Excellent communication skills </li> <li>Ability to function independently with flexibility, personal integrity, and work effectively with others</li> <li>Exhibit time management and organizational skills</li> </ul>BenefitsBenefits & Allowances: <ul> <li>Competitive compensation</li> <li>Excellent healthcare benefits</li> <li>Positive work environment based on collaborative teamwork</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Continuing Education opportunities</li> <li>401(k)</li> </ul>
