Assist client with personal hygiene, elimination, nutritional support, ambulation and exercise and other related supportive tasks according to the clients needs and as specified on the PCA Assignment.
Ensure quality and safe delivery of personal care attendant services per written assignment.

The Caregiver performs personal care and non-personal care assistance to residents with activities of daily living in a manner that enhances the residents sense of personal choice and autonomy. SCHEDULE: Full Time PM Shift 2:30PM - 10:30PM with a 4/2 rotation PRINCIPLE DUTIES: * The Caregiver assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. * Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed. * Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly. * Other duties as assigned by Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: * At least one-year caregiving experience, preferably in an Assisted Living or health care center; or equivalent experience * Ability to work in a health care and CCRC environment * Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques * Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English * High school graduate or equivalent. * Must have and maintain current First Aid card CRITICAL FUNCTION: * This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting for approximately 90% of the work day. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or shower chair, pushing up to generally 200 +/- lbs. Must be able to transfer, turn and position a resident weighing up to 125+/- lbs. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. When lifting over 35 lbs., you are required to ask for assistance. Occasionally push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs. May be exposed to communicable diseases including HIV and Hepatitis B viruses; industrial and household chemicals; offensive odors; and combative behavior.
