Asour most acute level of care, Kindred's transitional care hospitalsoffer the same critical care patients receive in a traditional hospitalor intensive care unit, but for an extended recovery period. Our cliniciansplay a vital role in the recovery process for chronic, critically ill andmedically complex patients.
As a CertifiedNursing Assistant / CNA within our SNF you will:
Under supervision,provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily livingactivities.
Essential Functions :( Those functions that the individual who holds the position must be ableto perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation).
Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, andincontinence care.
Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement towheelchair or activity areas.
Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed
Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirationrates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out inthe Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the
Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, andapplicable professional standards.
Documentation on flow sheets as directed.
Attends interdisciplinary meetings as needed to provide input intoselected resident's plans of care.
Ability to reactdecisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Ability tocommunicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
Must have good andregular attendance.
Approximate percent of time requiredto travel:
Performs other related duties asassigned.
High school diplomaor equivalent preferred.
Valid certificationas a CNA in the state of employment.
Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred
