Job Description

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing basic care to patients and assisting them with daily activities. The CNA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nurse in charge

• Assisting with feeding patients and ensuring they receive proper nutrition

• Assisting with mobility and transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or vice versa

• Keeping patients' rooms clean and organized

• Assisting with medical procedures such as taking blood pressure, administering medications, and changing dressings

• Providing emotional support to patients and their families

• Documenting patient care and reporting any changes in condition to the nurse in charge

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

• Current certification as a CNA

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift and move patients as needed

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
