Description:

A position in this class possesses a current certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to perform nursing assistant work at the full performance level, providing direct care to residents of a County nursing home facility on an assigned shift and unit. This position provides residents with personal care, carries out assigned duties, and insures a safe and clean environment. This position receives assignments and review of work from a higher-level, supervisory nursing personnel and reports to a supervisory nursing position.

Knowledge and ability to apply accepted standards, methods and techniques of resident care using practices applicable to long-term-care nursing.

Knowledge and ability to perform ADL's and procedures for residents with limited abilities to assist themselves.

Knowledge of Universal Precautions.

Ability to observe and assess residents' conditions.

Ability to maintain records as indicated.

Ability to have compassion for senior adults.

Ability to be creative when dealing with senior adults with dementia issues. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to be part of the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule:

Full Time, Regular Part Time & Part Time (Per Diem) Positions available

Full Time, Regular Part Time (benefit eligible) rate: $19.87/hour

Day Shift

• 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Evening Shift

• 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM ($2.00/hr shift differential)

Night Shift

• 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM ($.75/hr shift differential) $2.00/hr weekend differential.

5+ Years of C.N.A Certification additional $1.50/hr

(Shift Differential & weekend Differential only qualify for FT or RPT)

Part Time (Per Diem) new competitive hourly rates starting at $23.87/hr (rates based on PT position and shift) All shifts avail 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7.

Weekend Program 48/52 weekends, 8-hour shifts rates for weekend program: 7-3- $28.82/hr 3-11- $31.04/hr 11-7- $29.93/hr

Current Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with an additional six (6) courses on Care of the Dementia Resident is required. A completed County application must be submitted for consideration.
