Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for external candidates paid over 12 months.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a versatile and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Float to join our team. The CMA Float will provide clinical support, as well as assist with laboratory duties. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and team-based work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to provide medical assistant support as needed.

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.

• Record patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

• Prepare exam rooms by ensuring cleanliness and readiness with necessary supplies and equipment.

• Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.

• Perform lab duties including specimen collection (e.g., blood draws, urine samples), processing, and conducting routine tests.

• Label, prepare, and transport lab samples according to protocols to ensure timely and accurate results.

• Provide patient education on lab procedures, health maintenance, and follow-up care.

• Communicate test results and assist with patient follow-up regarding lab findings.

Qualifications

• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.

• Strong point of care lab work experience, phlebotomy skills.

• High school diploma.

• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
