Responsibilities
Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals committed to providing exceptional family medicine services in a fast-paced family medicine practice, interacting with patients of all ages.
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. Your clinical skills, attention to detail, and compassionate approach will contribute to the overall success of our practice in providing comprehensive family medicine services.
Clinical Support:
Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Record patient vitals, medical history, and chief complaints accurately.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
Patient Care:
Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain initial patient information, and prepare them for examinations.
Administer medications, vaccines, and injections as directed by physicians.
Perform basic lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
Patient Communication and Education:
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their questions, concerns, and follow-up instructions.
Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and wellness initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals for patients.
Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and ensure confidentiality.
Handle phone calls, inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
Current state RN/LPN license or current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
