Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Methodist Cardiology (INR schedule / Holter Monitors)

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

New CMA Base Starting Pay: $19.72, offers commesurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Join our cardiology clinic as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and take on essential responsibilities in our INR clinic and Holter monitor services. We're looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to our patient-focused care team.

Conduct INR (International Normalized Ratio) testing for patients on anticoagulation therapy, ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Educate patients on INR testing, medication management, and lifestyle modifications as directed by healthcare providers.

Perform Holter monitor setup and removal for cardiac monitoring, ensuring proper placement and patient comfort.

Assist cardiologists and other healthcare providers during procedures and examinations as needed.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including INR results, Holter monitor findings, and other relevant information in electronic health records (EHR).

Monitor and order supplies for the INR clinic and Holter monitor services.

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program.

Previous experience in a cardiology or similar clinical setting preferred.

Knowledge of INR testing procedures and anticoagulation therapy management.

Familiarity with Holter monitor setup and troubleshooting.

Strong communication and patient education skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
