Saint Luke's Health System Primary Care Clinic is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position is located at Saint Luke's East and is full time Monday-Friday, with no holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.

  • Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals

  • Phlebotomy

  • Administer injections and coordinate vaccines

  • Assist providers with procedures

  • Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents

  • Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)

  • Cover front office responsibilities as needed

This APP will be first assist in the OR and see clinic patients three days per week. This position will have the opportunity to travel with the collaborative physician to see clinic patients at our Leavenworth location and potentially assist in the OR. The Advanced practice provider is accountable for advanced nursing practice in the care of assigned patient populations. * Responsible for collecting and analyzing client health data * Identifies appropriate expected outcomes * Develops and implements plan of care * Provides comprehensive clinical coordination of care and case management * Provides consultation to influence plan of care for patient * Enhances the abilities of others and effect change in the system * Uses prescriptive authority procedures and treatments in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations * Evaluates clients progress in attaining expected outcomes * Conducts nursing research * Provides education to patient, family and nursing staff * Provides case management for high risk patients The Advanced Practice Provider must have first assist certification or training. This position may involve rounding on inpatients. This is a call position. See department policy regarding scheduling requirements.
