We're looking for someone to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) who:

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.

  • Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.

  • Performs audiometry and vision testing.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:


  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required

  • Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred

  • Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Required

Location: Napa, CA Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly hours Shift: 8 hour, Evenings Job Summary: The Surgical Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care by assisting in the care, transferring to OR table/gurney, and transporting of surgical patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Essential Functions: * Obtains patient height and weight upon arrival. Entry into EMR using the patient's two identifiers. * Assists nurses with scheduling patients for future visits. * Assists in maintaining a clean environment for patients. * Assist with the containment of medical center costs and conservation of supplies and equipment. * Notifies RN of any abnormal unusual finding of patient conditions, or any patient issues and safety hazards. * Assembles charts and essential paperwork for patients receiving care. * Obtains and document patient's vital signs. * Works collaboratively with Oncology office staff to verify patient authorization for treatment. Communicates any questions or concerns to Registered Nurse. * Pass lunch trays and provide other nourishment per patient's request and dietary allowance in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Skills: * Possesses effective skills in communication, problem solving, interpersonal relationships, and prioritization. * Demonstrated knowledge, judgment, and observational abilities needed to meet the patient care needs of a patient under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. * Demonstrates initiative, self-motivation and effective time management. * Flexible, able to adapt to multiple changes throughout the shift such as, admissions and discharges, patient acuity changes and emergencies. * Maintains a committed and cooperative attitude with other members of the health care team. * Demonstrates a knowledge of EMR charting. * Ability to take vital signs and demonstrate proper reporting of patients clinical condition. * Preferred: Bilingual. Minimum Position Qualifications: Education: H.S. Diploma or GED Experience: Job related experience in a hospital. Licenses/Certifications: Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Preferred Position Qualifications: Experience: * 1 year of Clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant. * Experience with ARIA. * Experience with Meditech.
