Overview

Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant I for the Outpatient Medical Oncology Unit, working M-F, 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greets patients assisting them to room/chair taking and monitoring VS, documentation of tasks, running errands for floor, transporting patients as needed, completion of testing EKG's, and lab draws when needed and assisting RN and NP in procedures

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical Assistant program preferred

Certifications:

  • MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT or NHA required

Related Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year Medical Assistant experience required

Responsibilities Essential Functions: * The Lead CMA will be responsible for the ACO quarterly application, run daily huddles, maintaining environmental care * Transitional Care Management of patients * Communicate Epic updates, be resource for fellow team members manage patient flow, room patients, perform vital signs, reviewing/updating patient history & medications in Epic * Maintain and stock exam rooms, register & schedule patients, assist with phones, order clinical supplies, assist with in office procedures, act as a chaperone * Chart prep of OB patients, pre-certifications, ordering of IUD's and medications from patient's specialty pharmacy, scanning incoming results into Epic, reviewing overdue results in Epic * All other tasks within their scope of practice that promote efficient work flow within the practice. * Other responsibilities include phone management, scheduling appointments, greet and register patients, verify patient demographics, scan insurance and ID cards, and collect & post co-payments. Qualifications Education: * High School Diploma required * Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Qualifications/Requirements: * MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required•Post externship experience preferred.
