Our Client, Greensboro Auto Auction is the South's leading independent, dealer exclusive auto auction. Greensboro Auto Auction, also known as GAA, is locally owned and operated. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a full time Certified Medical Assistant. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Ability to multi-task and prioritize, be flexible and adaptable.

Must possess excellent skills in Customer Service; Communication; Problem Solving; Time Management; Telephone Manners; Computers; Electronic Medical Records.

Bi-lingual is a requirement.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)

One of the following certifications is required:

CMA - certified medical assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistance)/RMA - Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologist) and NCMA - National Certified Medical Association (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing) ABR - OE - Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistance).

1+ years experience in family practice, internal medicine, urgent care is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Primary and Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine

  • Phlebotomy and collecting along with processing testing samples

  • LabCorp interface

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Injections

  • Patient Triage

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications and their uses.

  • Computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Calm and professional demeanor.

  • Possess the ability to work independently.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have the ability to multitask.

  • Flexibility in work responsibilities with administrative and front office responsibilities.

  • Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy. Strong work ethic with history of excellent attendance in prior positions.

  • Fluency in Spanish a must.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries in a warm and professional manner.

Provides patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.

Uses critical thinking skills to interpret the meaning of information and translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.

Provide information to physician and supervisors, co-workers, patients and vendors by telephone, email. written documentation and in-person.

Coordinates and tracks referrals and imaging.

Under physician guidance:

  • Discuss treatment procedures, lab results and aftercare instructions with patients.

  • Assist with development and documentation of office policy and procedures.

  • Assist during examination.

Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

Maintains business office inventory, supplies and equipment on regular basis.

Performs typing, mailing, faxing, scanning or photocopying various correspondence or materials.

Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Experience using medical equipment to take vital signs, obtain blood samples, perform drug testing and other laboratory functions.

Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

Preparing and administering medications in injection or topical or oral form.

Preparing and applying durable medical equipment.

Handling complaints, settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts or otherwise negotiating with others.

Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with co-workers.

Administrative and front office and other duties as needed.
