Will be responsible to ensure efficient in-office patient flow. This position is critical to the physician and mid-levels so that they may devote their time directly to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Major duties and responsibilities will consist of: take and chart vital signs or record in EMR, initialize patient histories, prepare patient and assist with exams and procedures, order supplies and stock exam rooms, ensure charts and encounter forms are completed, call for referrals, assist physicians with efficient patient flow, direct patients through discharge process, schedule and send OR packets, cross train in other office positions, and all other duties as assigned. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
Education, Training & Licensure: Satisfactory completion of an accredited medical assistant course or equal in experience required.
