Actalent is currently partnering with a provider office in the Knoxville area in need of a Medical Assistant to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications!

Description:

  • Prepare and maintain patient charts to include insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports, track and request patient records, slides and films; document as necessary in the charts

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments, in writing, of daily and weekly patient schedules

  • Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians and others with patient-related matters; relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician's discretion; conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and "no-shows"

  • Perform BP, TPR and weight on each patient; responsible for alerting physician of abnormalities

  • Perform medical history on each patient prior to being seen by physician

  • Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in clerical area

  • Pre certification/referrals (experience required)

  • Home health/infusion clinic communication as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active CMA or RMA required

  • 2+ years of experience required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Urology or specialty experience preferred

  • Intermediate Level
  • 1st shift M-F
  • $16-18/hr, BOE
