Certified Medical Assistant

Actalent is hiring a Medical Assistant in Williamsburg, Virginia!

Job Description:

• •Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing consent forms

• Assisting the physician in completing examinations and procedures

• Preparing surgical trays for procedures

• Ensuring all medications are drawn up as needed

• Providing wound care and suture removal instructions to patients

• Providing patient education and administering medications as ordered

• Ensuring patient follow-up phone calls are made regarding path/lab results and other necessary treatments

• Documenting all laboratory or pathology results in patients' records

• Cleaning medical instruments and equipment

• Stocking exam rooms with supplies

• Returning patient phone calls

• Must comply with OSHA standards regarding PPE (gowns, gloves, safety goggles) when performing surgical procedures and other general patient care

Skills:

Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, surgery, dermatology

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Medical Assistant experience with dermatology experience is highly preferred.

Surgical experience would be a plus!

Must have experience working in a fast paced environment

Must be a Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant

Work Ennvironment:

Office is open Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm

NO weekends or major holidays
