Highly Skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician for Multifamily Property in Atlanta

The ideal candidate must be:

  • Self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented and very organized
  • Be a team player
  • Possess strong, precise communication skills
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks under time deadlines with little or no supervision.
  • Knowledge Needed:
  • Multifamily Properties Maintenance (10 years experience):
  • HVAC Certified (10 years experience)
  • Plumbing knowledge,
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge in flood remediation and mold remediation procedures,
  • Knowledge of appliances in order to diagnose problems,
  • Character traits: Proactive not reactive. Able to make logical decisions as needed while under pressure. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills while interacting with tenants as needed.

Description The Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager and Operations Team by completing preventative maintenance and repair to machinery, structures, and fixtures. This may include but is not limited to mechanical maintenance on any of the company's physical assets, installations, new equipment setups, and responding to emergencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Regularly performs job duties including carpentry, electrical repair, painting and plumbing. * Repairs forklifts. * Assists in installation of machinery. * Does preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. * Repairs machinery to ensure minimal down time. * Responds to emergencies and call-ins. * Performs duties associated with emergency response & building security. * Trains others associates as needed * Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Qualifications The Maintenance Mechanic 1 will be a skilled mechanic with technical and physical capabilities. The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and genuine concern for safety of employees, structures, and products. Additionally, this role requires experience and judgment to do limited planning. The Maintenance Mechanic 1 must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job: lift up to 35 pounds, complete assisted lifts of 35-50 pounds, push or pull containers and equipment, repetitive bending and stooping, and may require occasional lifting overhead.
