Key responsibilities will include:

The Department of Aviation seeks a highly skilled Safety and Industrial Hygiene Administrator (Certified Industrial Hygienist) to join the Airport Safety Team to support the departmental divisions, business units and many partner organizations. The Safety and Industrial Hygiene Administrator (Certified Industrial Hygienist) will contribute to the safety and well-being of our employees and visitors. As a prominent organization committed to excellence, we are looking for an experienced professional to uphold the highest industrial hygiene standards

  • Conduct comprehensive industrial hygiene assessments to identify and evaluate workplace hazards.

  • Develop and implement effective control measures to mitigate exposure to occupational health risks.

  • Perform air quality monitoring, noise assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Analyze and interpret data to prepare detailed reports on industrial hygiene findings and recommendations.

  • Conduct training sessions to educate employees on industrial hygiene principles and practices.

  • Conducting safety audits/risk assessments

  • Providing on-demand regulatory guidance to airlines and departments

  • Identifying controls to mitigate risk identified in risk assessments

  • Assisting with Incident Analysis

  • Hazard investigation and follow-up

  • Supporting the development and implementation of Safety Management System (SMS)

  • Performing other duties as required or requested

  • Proficient in using industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and software.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • ability to read, understand, and interpret lab reports.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in industrial hygiene. Proven experience conducting exposure assessments and implementing control measures. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant industry standards. Aviation experience strongly desired but not required.

  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts
