POSITION: Certified Expanded Dental Assistant (with CPR certification)

As a DENTAL ASSISTANT you will prepare the patient for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative dentistry or oral surgery; Prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist use. You may perform other work related items to include, but not limited to, making appointments, answering the phone, ordering supplies.

Must have Dental Assistant certification

Must have valid CPR certification

Must be willing to work out of designated location
Skills : Charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, patient education.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

About 1 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Dental Assistant

Certification or Associate’s degree from an accredited school or on the job training

Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate is required

State Licensure where specified

Valid Dental Radiographer License for respective state requirements

CPR certification required

Proficient in MS Office Suite

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provides assistance to Doctors which includes but not limited to: charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, patient education. Assist in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.

Record and reviews patient health history, make chart entries under the direction of the doctor and assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software. Enters and updates patient treatment plan at the direction of the treating doctor. Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
