As an Associate with St. Vincent's HealthCare-FL, you will have the opportunity to research, analyze and reconcile reimbursement policies and procedures to ensure optimal reimbursement from public/private payers.

Schedule: 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Performs error analysis for disputed/denied claims and provides recommendations for process improvements. Assists with third party audits when necessary.

  • Investigates, evaluates, recommends and implements fee updates and new fees.

  • Acts as a resource for information on public/private payer assistance and guidelines. Researches reimbursement issues as necessary.

  • Trains and coaches staff regarding proper coding and reimbursement policies and procedures.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • None required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coding Certification through the American Academy of Professional Coder.

  • 1 year provider based coding experience.

  • Evaluation and Managements skills required/Surgical Procedure Coding a plus.

Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday Responsibilities: * Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties. * Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. * Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. * Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Minimum Qualifications: * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained by hire date or job transfer date. * Medical Assistant. * Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites. Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred. Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.
