Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Athens Cardiology Clinic where you will be responsible for:

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance under the direction of licensed personnel for a defined group of patients in a clinical setting.

  • Must be able to take patient vital signs, must have knowledge of medications and injections; must have knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Should be able to communicate both orally and written to physician, patient, and family members in a clear, concise manner.

  • Provide leadership and training for the clinical staff.

  • Coordinate other clinic and safety activities and projects as directed by Clinic Manager or Physician.

  • This position is under the general supervision of the Clinic Manager and the Clinic Physicians.

So what experience are we looking for in our Certified Clinical Medical Assistants?

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

  • Graduate from an accredited Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program

  • 2 years physician office experience is preferred

  • CCMA/NHA BLS certification.
