Certified Athletic Trainer - Temporary Assignment- Afternoon/Evening Varied Hours Shift

CaroMont Health is hiring a Temporary(up to 6 months) Athletic Trainer to work Varied Afternoon/ Evening Hour#Shifts#within our#Sports Medicine Outreach team through#CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC! *This position has No On-Site Clinical Based Hours

• Athletic Trainer Roles and Responsibilities: To coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools and therapy clinics.
  
  Performs a wide variety of athletic training evaluation and procedures in the care and treatment athletes. Reports to Sports Medicine Coordinator. Coordinates and works closely with schools officials including Athletic Director, Coaches, CaroMont Health Sports Medicine Coordinator, Director of Rehab Services and Service Line Director to provide Sports Medicine Services and program development and growth.# # Required Skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor#s degree from a recognized college or university.# NCBATE licensure as well as NATA Board of Certification required. # One year experience required; traveler experience preferred. Cannot be a Full Time or Part Time CaroMont Employee.

Considerable knowledge of physical therapy and sports medicine terminology, procedures, and techniques.# Thorough skill in performing athletic training procedures.# Ability to deal tactfully with family members, athletes, coaches, school employees, physicians, community and hospital personnel.# Considerable judgment required in working with athletes and performing treatments.
