The CST provides assistance to professional staff and works under the direction of the registered nurse.

The CST must be able to demonstrate growth and development knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Employee must be able to successfully complete job specific orientation, competencies, and meet/exceed standards as identified in the criteria based performance appraisal. Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Successfully completes unit orientation program. Successful completion of hospital required classes/competencies. Current CST certification in the state of Indiana, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider.

A mixture of 8 and 10 hr shifts at Deaconess GW Procedure Center area. Will assist with Pain, Urology, and Respiratory Therapy procedures, as well as work in the scope reprocessing rooms.
