Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls from new clients seeking mental health services
Screen clients to understand their needs and determine appropriate services
Schedule appointments for outpatient and psychiatric services
Verify insurance eligibility and referral sources using various systems
Perform clerical tasks such as sending appointment letters, filing, and maintaining records
Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines when handling client information
Provide excellent customer service and deliver a positive first impression
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior experience in customer service, call center, or medical scheduling
Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
Additional Qualifications:
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Strong typing skills
Able to establish effective relationships over the phone
