What You'll Be Doing:
The Centralized Make-Ready Technician performs the make-ready activity within a
portfolio of Equity Residential apartment communities, delivering on our resident
commitments of exceptional move-ins, total satisfaction, and customer loyalty. This
position performs maintenance work to include painting, maintenance repairs and
carpet cleaning ensuring make-ready standards are met. At times, this role may also
assist on-site teams with scheduled maintenance projects, on-call service, and snow
removal. Local travel within the portfolio is required.
● Performs various make ready maintenance functions which may include, but is not limited
to, plumbing, electrical installation and repairs, light carpentry/construction, re-keying and
mastering door locks, repairing furnaces and air conditioners, appliance repairs, drywall
repairs and apartment painting, vinyl installation and repairs.
● Prepares all market-ready apartments, which includes, but is not limited to, painting, carpet
cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping to ensure an exceptional move-in experience for
our residents.
● Effectively uses the appropriate management software to update progress on assigned
tasks.
● Responsible for proper use and care of all company tools, equipment and vehicles.
Scheduled Maintenance
● Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on vacant units, models, common areas,
clubhouses, to the Service Manager.
● Performs scheduled maintenance program. Records activity in maintenance log.
● Is knowledgeable of federal and state apartment housing laws, as well as internal policies,
initiatives and systems regarding maintenance.
What You'll Need to Thrive:
Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience
Customer service and sales experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Computer literacy and effective communication skills
Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
Smartphone
Pay Range: $20.24- $24.73 an hour
The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
