Responsible for providing support services in the Department of Nursing, Materials Management and Environmental Services.
Perform all driving duties related to transports in a safe and expedient manner, with passenger welfare being of prime concern.
Assists patient's entry into and exiting from vehicle ensuring passenger safety.
Secures patient's properly in van prior to departures utilizing the most appropriate and secured transport device.
Reports any accidents, traffic violations, or other hospital vehicle related incidents immediately, ensuring proper police reports are completed.
Services and maintains cleanliness in patient areas, offices, restrooms, patient bathrooms, conference rooms, kitchens, lounges, therapy areas and other areas per established departmental guidelines as needed.
Provides inventory and supply room support by packaging and delivering supplies per customer requests as needed,
Inventory linen carts and prepare linen orders as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must have good basic reading, writing and math skills.
Ability to organize work tasks and function without close supervision.
Must hold a valid Ohio Driver's License and maintain a good driving abstract with a maximum of 4 points on the driver's license.
Must be CPR/first aide certified.
Complexity of Work:
Ability to use different kinds of securing devices.
Demonstrate proper way to help patient get on and off the van depending ability.
Have basic understanding of the age-specific developmental stages of patients served by the Hospital and demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with patients of all ages.
Some experience with Lawson system preferred.
