Treva is currently hiring for a full-time Central Sterile Processing Technician in Tucson, Arizona. This is a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension. Hours are 8a-5pGreat pay!

Job Duties:

Under general supervision is responsible for the collection, decontamination, disinfection and/or sterilization, storage and distribution of equipment instrumentation and supplies throughout the Hospital. Reprocesses, sterilizes and documents procedure for all instrumentation. Monitor sterilization procedures in CPD. Ensure required inventories of all instrumentation and supplies are available, fills case carts as specified for appropriate departments. Tracks equipment on nursing units and maintain patient charges of supplies and equipment. Maintain proper storage of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.


  • Must understand Medical Terminology
  • Must have a certification in Central Sterile Reprocessing
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a Central Processing and Sterilization Department
  • Current immunizations and/or screenings (MMR, DPT, Varicella, HEP B and TB) required

Requires proficiency typically acquired with 5 years Sterile Processing experience including knowledge of surgical instrumentation, patient related supplies, materials and equipment, aseptic and sterilization techniques. Must have 2 years of leadership experience in a management position. Requires national certification as a SPD Technician or Surgical Instrument Processor within conditional period or 6 months after assuming position. Must possess effective organizational, communication and human relations skills as the incumbent will coordinate projects simultaneously and working closely with all levels of staff. Requires computer skills and the ability to research and compile statistical reports. Preferred Qualifications National SPD Manager Certification preferred.
