The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. This position is responsible for accurately performing the pre-access functions for scheduled patients, which includes scheduling outpatient diagnostic procedures and completing the pre-registration and insurance verification processes.
High School or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of outpatient scheduling or registration experience.
Possesses understanding of third-party payer requirements and healthcare billing. Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
Candidate must have ability to prioritize and perform work in an organized, efficient and effective manner without constant supervision and direction. Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.
Computer proficiency to include word processing and patient accounting system. Experience in data entry, customer service, collections and medical terminology preferred.
