The VISTA will work with the Development Director and Executive Director on grant submissions/applications, and fundraising events/activities seeking contributions. S/he will learn how to read and interpret Request for Proposals (RFPs), conduct literature reviews, concisely describe proposed program plans and outcomes, and work with funder grant portals.
By the end of the year, s/he will be able to differentiate the rigor of RFPs/proposals and expectations of a diverse group of funders -- e.g., local government and foundation funders, and potentially federal applications. S/he will take the lead on 5-10 submissions and work closely with program leads to conduct gap analysis that will assist with prioritizing proposal "asks" and developing program and proposal structure. The VISTA will also assist the Development Director and Executive Director with additional proposals and fundraising events/activities they are leading, learning about the breadth and depth of existing and potential programs, and a non-profit seeking growth and funding diversification.
The VISTA will assist with data migration to a new database system (TBD, but coming soon). S/he will design report structures and pull data/consolidate data to demonstrate the work and comprehensive impact of CCH Programs. S/he will evaluate current and proposed programs and services, with the intention of using results for quality improvement. In concert with the Leadership Team, s/he will evaluate data collection and reporting processes and make suggestions for improvement. S/he will report to Tamar Forrest, Executive Director.
