Essential Job Functions:   May perform any of the following duties as required; receives customer telephone calls and refer to appropriate personnel; gathers and organize data for various activities; prepares letters and mailings and process return mail; establish and maintain files and records; responsible for filing and scanning documents; makes routine arithmetic calculations; operates various office machines; interacts effectively with the public and other employees; assist other office staff as needed.

Other Job Functions:   Perform general clerical duties as needed.

Works indoors in a normal office environment.  Must be available to work between the hours of 8 a.m.

  • 5 p.m., Monday

  • Friday.

Knowledge:  Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling, vocabulary and arithmetic.  Knowledge of modern office equipment.

Skills/Abilities:   Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to perform typing/data entry accurately; ability to perform routine arithmetic computations;  ability to alphabetize files, use a PC and a 10-key; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and the public.

Physical Requirements:  Constantly sees and hears; frequently talks, sits, bends, stoops, stands, kneels, squats, climb stairs, twist body, sorts, walks, answers the telephone, operates office equipment, writes by hand, files and types; infrequently cleans, carries, lifts, holds, drags, pushes, pulls objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

Education/Experience:  Graduation from high school or equivalent including and supplemented by courses in business and one (1) year experience in general clerical work.

 Experience in Word and  Excel.  Having a strong working office skill background which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be a plus.   Cash handling experience or medical office experience preferred.

Skills test will be administered.  Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.
