POSITION: Center Director Young Hearts Preschool
DEPARTMENT: Co-Curriculars
LOCATION: Buckeye, AZ
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Co-Curriculars
EEO Classification: Professional
FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full-time ($45,000-$60,000)
Position
The Center Director at Young Hearts Preschool will oversee all operational aspects of the preschool. The director will be responsible for all of business, educational, and customer service functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Promote the program through provided marketing strategies.
Enroll and maintain full classrooms year-round.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with teachers, students, parents, and academy administration.
Hire, train, mentor, and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
Follow quality assurance measures to maintain excellence of program offerings, operations, and state licensure.
Work to achieve and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
Maintain regular communications to customers, direct reports, academy administration, and Executive Director of Co-Curriculars.
Escalate incident reports to Executive Director of Co-Curriculars.
Partner to maintain a safe environment.
Adhere to Great Hearts/Young Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
Attend meetings at Lead Office and other business locations.
Substitute in classroom if needed.
Support the Executive Director of Co-Curriculars with special projects.
Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years' experience running a licensed preschool program.

Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must have a negative TB test
Must meet the qualifications of Facility Director in accordance with the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Child Care Licensing
Will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 40 pounds approximately.
Travel required: May need to travel locally to the Lead Office or other Great Hearts locations in Arizona
