The candidate will be responsible for debugging system level Telephony & Baseband issues reported from QA, Certification, Lab, Field and Livability tests. Focus would be on driving continuous performance improvements by working closely with internal development team, radio stack vendor and other cross functional teams.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 4~5 years hands-on experience in Cellular Systems engineering/Systems analysis role.

  • Experience with Cellular technologies (5G NR, WCDMA, LTE, IMS), systems architecture, protocols and 3GPP standards.

  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with end to end Wireless Systems.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python is a plus.

  • Knowledge of strong OS/data structures, Debugging/troubleshooting skills.


In this role, you will be improving the cellular performance of Apple products. You will diagnose Cellular Protocol and System level issues from the carriers, debug cellular issues reported from certification tests, and lead IOT and field tests by doing in-depth log analysis using various tools and code walk-throughs. In addition, you will work closely with internal development teams, radio stack vendors, certification and field test teams, and carrier support teams to fix issues. You will also be responsible for leading product features through the development life- cycle from bring-up through acceptance. A thorough understanding of LTE and UMTS are desired. Prior experience with baseband chipset vendors is a plus. 5G experience is a plus.

Education & Experience

Bachelors of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering or related field required Masters in CE, EE or CS preferred.

Description In your role as the CI Product Architect, you will contribute and be part of an elite RF Systems Cellular Team. We are tasked with driving cellular radio technologies addressing GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR and beyond. You will work closely with other RF system engineering teams, RF and modem design teams, and RF and modem software teams to help developing and supporting world class RF solutions and their control. Occasional travel including international may be required. * Serve as the technical interface between the CI team and the overall RF product architect. * Support feature and concept definition for concepts including boot-, supply-, clock distribution-, inter-chip interfaces-, control backbone-, RF-frontend control-, etc. and align them within modem platform. * Structure and review technical content of the documentation and guide system engineers in writing it. * Drive alignment in-between RF teams for systems engineering, analog and digital design, pre- and post-silicon verification and firmware. * Take over End-to-End responsibility for all CI aspects throughout the RF product life cycle. * Close the RF product lifecycle with supervision of KPI compliance, lessons learnt and identify need for future innovations.
