What is needed to join our team?

Position Summary: Performs a wide range of Retail Banking functions that best serve the needs of current and potential customers. Requires knowledge and understanding of the Bank's full array of products and services, and lending polices and practices, which will enhance banking relationships. Requires a close working relationship with both business banking and retail officers and staff. Leadership in office with ability to step in to CSR and Teller duties as needed. This person will be an active participant in the community. This position will have sales, portfolio and asset quality goals and expectations. Responsibilities: * Develops and manages retail banking relationships with a disciplined set of behaviors and actions aligned with new client development and lead generation. * Meets or exceeds deposit growth, loan growth, and fee revenue goals and expectations as determined by supervisor. * Identify cross selling opportunities; cross sell banking services (directly or through referral) including personal banking services, treasury management, wealth management and insurance services. * Interviews applicants, collects and analyzes the financial related data to establish credit worthiness, establishes and negotiates where necessary credit terms, and continues to monitor customer's repayment ability. * Explain lending rules, rates and programs available to the customer and explain responsibilities during loan approval interview. Close loans explaining all pertinent documentation. Explain rationale when loans are not approved. * Make final decisions on loan applications within authorized limits. Obtain proper approval of loan requests beyond individual authorized limits, as defined by the lending policy. * Renew existing loans in accordance with lending policies to assure highest quality of loans. * Work towards communicated asset quality and credit administration goals and expectations as determined by supervisor. * Responsible for management of own portfolio including underwriting new and existing accounts including collecting and analyzing data, making recommendations as to structure and risk rating, and presenting credits at the appropriate committee level for bank approval. * Monitor the status of loan payments on an ongoing basis; responsible for ongoing collection of accounts; make calls to discuss alternative payback measures with customers; make arrangements which satisfy bank policy and customer needs; determine when outside resources are needed to help monitor or collect on accounts. If loan is turned over to the Special Asset Group, work closely with them and assist in the loan collection process as needed. * Keep abreast of all lending forms, policies and requirements and ensure their use for all loan activities. * Follow up on loan documentation and pending loan files. * Follow and adhere to all banking regulations and laws as well as all internal bank policies and procedures to ensure that all the required steps are taken and documented. * CSR and Teller duties as needed. * Attend and participation in Bank meetings, including but not limited to, monthly lender/officer meetings as well as the weekly internal credit committee as needed. * Provide ideas/suggestions for departmental functioning, policies and procedures. * Represents Bank First National and participates in community based organizations. * Performs other such duties as may be assigned. * Adhere to the bank's Code of Ethics Qualifications Competencies: * Honesty, Integrity and Ethics - to act in a fair and just manner, free from deception; ethics is the ability to be guided by the company's accepted principles of moral conduct * Accountability – the extent to which an individual is willing to accept responsibility * Adaptability – the extent to which an individual can fit into a changing working environment. * Decision Making – the ability to select an effective course of action while controlling resources and expenditures * Interpersonal / Customer Oriented – the ability to develop and maintain relationships with others.
