Role Summary:The role works within the Portfolio Management function in R&D within the Cell & Gene Therapy (C>) business of Life Sciences. Key deliverables within the C> Portfolio Process are to lead process improvement and change initiatives, support use of evaluation tools and coordination and consolidation of inputs to provide the right inform
ation for portfolio investment decision making by business leaders.
In addition to the above, the position will have responsibility to improve the performance and efficiency of the organization and portfolio evaluation tools and processes. Along with Portfolio deliverables, this role will provide project management support managing key project processes, corresponding documentation/presentation, project plans, and coordination/consolidation of information.
Conduct a broad range of change and process improvement projects across Cell & Gene Therapy (primarily NPI) globally and drive implementation to secure performance
improvements in the business
Provide a snapshot of the current portfolio from multiple angles e.g. products, protocols, consumables, reagents, digital, enterprise solutions , launch dates, costs
Work with our global GE process development team in managing their opportunities and projects along with coordinating their expected documents and outputs (e.g. confidentiality agreements, service agreements, whitepapers, application notes, etc.)
Develop and maintain numerous valuation models and a portfolio database
Develop systems & tools to collect data from and distribute data to various sources for portfolioanalysis purposes.
Develop and maintain a project ranking system based on several key metrics.
Ensure standardization / comparability of assumptions and data across portfolio.
Develop and ensure measurement of key KPIs.
Develop & maintain capacity planning tools and process.Coordinate documentation preparation, review by various subject matter experts, execution
Coordination of Portfolio Review inputs across Cell & Gene Therapy.
Coordination of Milestone Reviews across Cell & Gene Therapy.
Support delivery of projects. Create and maintain standard project management artifacts such as project plan, risk & issue register, change log, budget tracker, progress reports.
Commun icate progress, status, and issues to business leaders
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the Business.

Bachelor's degree in a finance, scientific or technical discipline
At least 5 or more years of experience and a solid scientific/technical background with graduate or equivalent business and/or com mercial experience (or vice versa) preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
Ability to provide financial assessments of projects/businesses and an understanding of and experience with the analytical tools used for that purpose
Proven experience in proces s improvement
Demonstrated project management skills
Expert knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
Highly developed analytical skills
Strong communication and networking ability
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Desired Characteristics:PPMI certification
Working knowledge of MS Project
Experience in capacity/resource planning
Proactive and flexible approach -ability to work in complex environment and manage rapid change.
Fast learner, willingness to adapt to and adopt new tools
Willingness to travel between GE sites
